Medical University of the Americas (MUA) has earned Recognized Accreditation, enabling our students to be eligible to practice in all 50 states of the United States, Canada, the United Kingdom, and other countries. Our accreditor, the Accreditation Commission on Colleges of Medicine, is recognized by the World Federation of Medical Education and its standards have been deemed comparable to the standards used to accredit medical schools in the United States by the U.S. Department of Education’s National Committee on Foreign Medical Education and Accreditation. MUA is one of the select international medical schools approved to participate in U.S. Federal Student Aid programs.

4-Year MD Program

MUA offers a 10- semester MD program with basic sciences coursework on Nevis and clinical studies in the US and Canada.

5-Year BSc/MD Program

This program is tailored for students with associate degrees, international baccalaureate diplomas, AS Levels, A Levels, or Irish Leaving Certificate credentials seeking a solid foundation in science before starting their medical degree.

6-Year BSc/MD Program

An accelerated 2+4 medical education track for students with secondary school credentials (e.g., high school or IGCSE “O-levels”).

Pre-Med Master's

This exciting Master’s program provides a pre-med pathway for career changers with an undergraduate degree and some foundational science coursework into the MD program.

Gateway Program

A 15-week program for conditionally accepted MUA students, leading to their inclusion in the next MUA MD class.

MBBS to MD Pathway

Students who hold a Bachelor of Medicine and Bachelor of Surgery (MBBS) degree have the opportunity to apply for transfer admission to the MD Program with advanced standing.
